Meet Amy Snow
Amy Snow, PA-C, is a Dermatology PA with over 21 years of expertise in medical, surgical, pediatric, and cosmetic dermatology. Amy founded Project Happy Face in 2009 to provide much-needed dermatologic treatments and products to disadvantaged junior and senior high school students. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, she has been able to accomplish this for these exceptional teenagers completely free of charge.
Amy believes that everyone deserves access to quality skin care. Guided by that vision, Project Happy Face broadened its mission beyond supporting teens to launching a state-of-the-art mobile outreach clinic that brings free dermatology care and skin cancer screenings to people of all ages in underserved rural communities.
Beyond Project Happy Face, Amy has volunteered for many years at Los Angeles Care Harbor — an annual three-day health care event where people who have little or no access to regular healthcare can be examined and treated for free. Amy also has traveled to the jungles of Haiti to provide her dermatological expertise, seeing approximately 60 to 70 patients a day for 10 days, some of whom had walked overnight to see her. She is also an active volunteer with the American Academy of Dermatology, performing melanoma screenings throughout the year. She was named a Fun and Fearless Female by Cosmopolitan Magazine in 2014.
The NCCPA has recognized Amy as one of the top 50 physician assistants in the country who is making a difference. Most recently, Amy was named 2025 DermPA™ of the Year by the Society of Dermatology Associates and 2025 PA Associate Citizen of the Year by the Oregon Medical Association. She has published an online dermatology photo atlas and an article on melanoma in a peer-reviewed journal. In 2018, Amy joined the Dermatology PA Foundation as Treasurer and advanced to the position of Executive Director. She also held an active role with the SDPA as Director of Partner Relations.
Amy also volunteers at the Volunteers In Medicine Clinic of the Cascades, serves on the Board of Directors for Bend Farmers Market, and manages Snow Dermatology’s Adopt-A-Highway ODOT Program.
Recognized for Excellence
Amy Snow, PA-C, renowned for her commitment to dermatology and her community, is honored to have been chosen as the recipient of two distinguished awards from the medical community this year. Patients trust her for her concierge-level care, tailored to each patient’s needs, making her a top choice for dermatology needs in Bend, OR.
